Termite Treatment
Protect Your Biggest Investment with Trelona
Termites cause billions of dollars in damage to homes across the U.S. each year, and Alabama's warm, humid climate makes properties especially vulnerable. DOA Pest Control provides thorough termite inspections, proven treatment solutions, and real estate (WDO) reports to protect your property.
1Termite Inspections
Our thorough inspections cover your entire property — foundation, crawlspace, attic, and all wood structures. We identify active infestations, damage, and conditions conducive to termite activity. Early detection is key to minimizing damage and repair costs.
2Annual Trelona Bait Stations
We use Trelona ATBS (Advanced Termite Bait System) to control termite colonies and protect your property from future infestations. Trelona bait stations are installed around your property's perimeter and monitored annually to provide continuous protection against termites.
3Why Trelona Over Sentricon?
Trelona uses novaluron, a chitin synthesis inhibitor that is 2x more palatable to termites than Sentricon's noviflumuron. Trelona stations hold 50% more bait matrix than Sentricon, require fewer service visits, and provide a larger zone of protection. Trelona has also been shown to achieve faster colony control in university studies. Simply put — Trelona is the superior bait system on the market today.
4Eastern Subterranean Termites
Eastern subterranean termites are the most common termite species in Alabama and cause the majority of termite damage in the U.S. They live in underground colonies and build mud tubes to access wood structures above ground. These termites feed 24/7 and a mature colony can consume over 5 pounds of wood per year. Regular monitoring with bait stations is the best long-term defense.
5Formosan Termites
Formosan termites are an aggressive invasive species found along the Gulf Coast, including Mobile and Baldwin County. A single Formosan colony can contain millions of workers — compared to hundreds of thousands for Eastern subterranean termites — making them far more destructive. They can also build above-ground nests called cartons, allowing them to infest structures without soil contact. Early detection and professional treatment are critical.
6Real Estate / WDO Reports
Buying or selling a home in Alabama? A Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) report is typically required for real estate transactions. As a WDO-licensed professional, Edward Miles provides thorough inspections and official reports for property sales.
7Powder Post Beetles
In addition to termites, we also treat powder post beetle infestations. These wood-boring insects can cause significant structural damage similar to termites. We identify the species, assess the damage, and provide effective treatment solutions.

Fast Discovery Leads to Fast Mortality
Choose the baiting stations termites find faster.
Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations feature a superior design that leads to fast termite hits. One university study showed it took subterranean termites only 8 days to find 50% of the Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations, while it took termites 46 days to find 50% of the leading competitor's bait stations.
Trelona® ATBS Annual Bait Stations and the competitor's stations were placed within 0.5 meters of an active termite colony. The study had 20 replicates and stations were checked daily over 46 days producing the results shown.
